Apartment hunting

barlow_girl and I are in apartment hunting mode until the end of the month. We've done it once before and wanted to leave it open for revisiting in the fall (which is now). Having an endpoint is important so that we can either make the decision to move or make the decision to settle where we are—leaving it an open loop would just be a perpetual source of potential frustration. We're mostly looking through Craigslist and word of mouth, and we have our geographic and price boundaries generally set. When doing something like this, I usually obsess over it until we're done (in part to ensure we've done the best we can), so that's another good reason to know when we'll be done. Until then, I'll be looking for listings most of the time when I'm awake.

So how much stress is involved in trying to find a new apartment? Is it pretty hard up there?

good luck on the apartment hunting. I hate doing that myself. We're hoping to get into UW student housing at some point.

Why are you apt. hunting? Where are you living now? I'd suggest TX, but it doesn't have the rain & clouds you so love. (It has the sun & clear skies that I love!)
