Counting the "get-ups"

Booked a weekend in Atlanta for later August, which is absolutely mad, because it will be 212 degrees or so by then. But I get to visit barlow_girl, so I am nonetheless stoked. John has been urging me to take some vacation, and though this is only one workday or so, it's a step in the right direction. Perhaps I'll take some more time off on either end, too.

Connor is coming over tonight (maybe with Sara? I didn't ask...) for one last hot pepperoni and Enterprise night before their move to Austin in a few days. I'll miss them being here.

Did I mention being excited about Atlanta? Because I am.

You're not the only one. :o]
Oh, good. That would have been awkward.
You know, it's really a shame you're not going to be here this weekend - the Backstreet Boys are playing here!
I don't like Austin all that much in how I rate Texas Cities. But it's still Texas. Hope they like it there! :D
I haven't been to Austin since college, and I got kicked out of a bar there.
Oh? @_@ What'd you do?
Hi! You get to visit one of my favorite people in the whole world. And Atlanta is awesome. I bet if you ask nicely, Amy could be persuaded to eat at the OK Cafe.

I hope it's a great trip! Though I imagine it will be given the company. :o]

Mind if I friend you?

Mind? I'd love that!

And yes, I can't go wrong with the company. It's just a matter of whether I can ask nicely.
Fun place, fun company.

Yes, very excited. The only time I've been to Atlanta was when I was a kid, and I have no memories of it (though I'm sure the company wasn't as good).
Atlanta is close...(ok so it's 4 hours away, but it's still much closer than Seattle), so if you'll be there for a bit (more than a day or two) and wouldn;t mind meeting a lj friend, I'd love to try to meet you while you're down in the south. I wouldn't mind driving there. :) Let me know :)

That's so sweet! I'm afraid this one is only a weekend trip, and my time is already committed. Thank you for the offer, though!
Sounds like a lot of fun! :D

See, I do read your journal.
