Just read a news story that used the term scrum (in a non-rugby context). Learn something new every day.


Yes. In Canada, they're quite common as either a "moving press conference" where the subject being interviewed is walking and is surrounded by reporters, microphones, and cameras. Or, especially with politicians (often after Question Period, in the foyer just outside the House of Commons), where the politician is at a microphone and the press is gathered around on all sides. (Or all sides, except the back.)
That definitely seems to be the idea. I need to brush up on my Canadian.
