Approaching holy ground

Taking in my brief Tuesday coffee reverie between work and Community Group. With an extra service this week for Maundy Thursday, things are plenty busy, so a rest stop or two, however brief, is most welcome.

Just met __sidekick and thewordcop on the way in to Vivace. Love random chance meetings. These women are taking the city by storm, and I'm not the first to say so. Always interesting to introduce myself as banzai; brings back a memory or two.

Sunset streams are shining off the buildings outside. I can tell it's a good one.

Sucker that I am, I've found myself getting geekily excited for Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. It's like returning to an abusive relationship:
Oh, Ike Turner George Lucas! Since you promised not to hit me again make yet another crappy movie, I'll come back! I know you love me!

Community Group tonight will focus on the prayers of Christ's passion, in Gethsemane and on the Cross. We are treading on holy ground; the weight of it is frightening. I want us not to discuss, debate, or question, but instead simply to sit with it. It's where we need to be. Worship grows from spending time in such places.

Excellent music choice, there.
It's a great audio getaway.

Geeeeeekily!

Like all abusive relationships, he said he loved you and it seemed good once. Maybe you two can get the magic back if you quit making George mad.

Re: Geeeeeekily!

Maybe you two can get the magic back if you quit making George mad. Because it's not George's fault that the magic's gone; it's banzai's fault for not being sensitive enough. George has needs, too, you know.

Re: Geeeeeekily!

Yes, he has to try to understand the pressures George is under.

Re: Geeeeeekily!

banzai thinks about himself too much. Hello, it's a partnership?! Each person pulling his own weight? George has done so much ... but what has banzai ever done for him?

Re: Geeeeeekily!

Yes, he has to realize that George needs the little things, the thought. Maybe a little note saying, "George, /I'm thinking of you. /Love, Banzai."

Dare we say, 'couples counseling?'

Added you.
Hope CG went well. Think you had the right attitude - approaching holy ground with anything other than intimidation is probably wrong; it should only highlight our own unholiness and His worthiness.

:o]
It was great to finally meet you!!
plus one of the best moments ever was "uhm, are you two skinny?"

awesome.
Too funny—just after I said it, I realized it sounded like the worst and most awkward pickup line ever!
haha it was hilarious!
