This Sunday's Confession of Sin

O God of all compassion, forgive us for living as if you are angry and unreliable.

O Father who has promised to never let us go, forgive us for living in fear awaiting your rejection.

O God who seeks us in love, forgive us for pretending to be good instead of approaching you as a broken people.

O Father who sent his Son to die for us, forgive us for the offense of rejecting him by acting as if we can earn your love.

O God who forgives us freely, forgive us for continuing to hold grudges.

O Father who loves us, forgive us for despising you.
