No time like the present

Let us not wait for large opportunities, or for a different kind of work, but do just the things we "find to do" [Ecclesiastes 9:10] day by day. We have no other time in which to live. The past is gone; the future has not arrived; we never shall have any time but time present.

Charles Haddon Spurgeon, Morning and Evening (26 November, Morning "What Can Be Done")

Workflow requires that today be a workday, but that's not really an imposition. It's so good to have a job I enjoy so much. I've got Christmas music streaming in, and being at the office also let me catch the FedEx guy and a package for John, so good things are already afoot.

I really want to open up and experience the Advent season this year. Being in the present affords me the joy of anticipating my coming Lord. I'd think I'd know that better than most, but time has a way of getting complicated. It's good to be reminded of the truth.
