and waiter for us
—Catherine of Siena, Fourteenth Century
Maundy Thursday service tonight. Though it had been a long day, I found my heart being refreshed and excited as I prepared the church for the feast. More than that, I could feel His Spirit filling me with a new love for my Lord.
The homily was eerily the same as last year's—even though our pastor has changed, God often speaks the same message with the same voice to our church, His church. It is both amazing and assuring.
My heart and thoughts are a resonant echo of a year ago, found here. Thank you, Jesus, for loving me and giving me love.
