All my road before me

We wait in hope for the Lord;
He is our help and our shield.
In Him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in His holy name.
May Your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord,
even as we put our hope in You.

—Psalm 33:20-22

As I try to settle and write, finding that most of my thoughts are calling for their own dedicated writings, each of those half-formed at best. They'll come forth in their time or not at all.

Slept a bit longer and better last night. Remembering that I am not alone helps the silence be almost comforting and full, rather than terrifying and hollow. And almost is better than nothing.

Actually looking forward to the day at work, though that may change when I reach the office and the intimidating stacks of paper surrounding my desk. Projects, focus, progress, vision...all appeal to me right now. If I know where I cannot go, let me discover where I can, do what I can. As with the road behind me, some of the path ahead is mine to map. Some is simply mine to walk.

That's a good passage from Psalms. Thanks for sharing it. I like what you said at the end: "...some of the path ahead is mine to map. Some is simply mine to walk."
