Not the same

Starting each day is a little harder than it used to be. Do you know what I mean?

Checked out an apartment yesterday, but it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. "View" and "W/D" apparently referred to the building, not the unit. The "office" was a large closet-type room behind the kitchen. Just not worth moving for, even though it has a coveted fireplace. I have a great apartment now, and though I'm interested in a Wallingford move, I'm neither hurried nor unhappy, which means I don't feel pressured or frustrated. Patience can be my friend, sometimes.

Murphy's for a couple of hours yesterday evening with Jason, Jeremy, Nate, Nathan, and Rob. Starting to be a good tradition.

Just back from breakfast with my co-leaders, after prayer and preparation. We're studying Psalm 58; the imagery of justice and retribution are challenging for some, but not for me. I need Him to be just against wickedness and sin, else He is not good. The glory of the Cross is in the intersection of His justice and His mercy. Without a just God who judges sin, it is meaningless. May it never be!
