Multidirectional schizophrenia

Going too many directions at once. Yesterday as a day off was fully unrestful, typical of my days off of late. Somehow I get into a kind of mental vapor lock and am unable to concentrate on any one thing. Then I feed myself with television or music or internet or some other diversion, which naturally compounds the problem.

Instant Messages are a bizzare form of communication. Toying with the idea of setting up a separate screen name for each of the friends with whom I regularly IM, simply because I suspect that having multiple simultaneous unique conversations exceeds human design parameters for communication (we'd never attempt this in person, or even over the phone). Another case of going too many directions.

I'd like to try resting again today, but it would be irresponsible to do so. Lots of work to do, with fewer people and less time to do it. Also need to chair a staff meeting at 10 and pray for people. My issues are going to need to go to the back burner for now. I hope they don't boil over-- I don't need that.
