Moods and the Truth

Got my rainy Seattle day today, in spades. My mood has been funky, though. Maybe a consequence of yesterday's rejection letters? I let myself be ruled by my moods too much. That's a different thing than experiencing them, which I believe is a good and necessary thing. It's also different from expressing them, which I often don't do as perhaps I should. No, where it gets ugly is when I let my moods (good and bad) define reality. The Truth is a different thing from my moods. Living in acknowledgement is an essential component to faith, to taking the necessary leap.

Moods can be a spiritual battleground, where forces far beyond my understanding compete for my attention and ultimately, my service and worship. There has to be Truth beyond them, above them. A Word. Here is my hope, my faith.
