Destiny weights

Destiny has a sight:
haze and clarity colliding,
a shooting star,
even if your wish is wrong.

Destiny has a sound:
a horn, a crack of thunder,
or perhaps a low, distant
boom.

Destiny has a scent:
rain in the air,
traces of smoke carried
on the wind.

Destiny has a taste:
tears kissed
before they hit
the ground.

Destiny has a feeling:
goosepimpled flesh
as the air is charged
from the inside.

Destiny is inevitability:
watching possibilities
fade, fall, strip
away
while one grows larger
still,
like tributaries
feed the river.

(The river will spill
into an ocean
eventually— what
does that mean?)

Resurrection requires
two things:
God
and
death.
I believe in
both.
